Dear Internet,
I interrupt the irregularly scheduled programming around here to let you know that I am expecting a baby boy in 2012, due in theory on January 20.
Thank you in advance for your congratulations and good wishes. I am not sure I can recommend moving 1200 miles, starting a new job, getting pregnant, and buying a house all in the course of nine months, but I never like to do anything by halves.
I’ll doubtless write more about all of this, but in the meantime, I just wanted you to know.
Love,
Laura
Hooray!
Woo — hoo!! I can tell you from experience … BOYS ROCK!!
XOXOX love Ann Thom & boys
WOW! Congratulations! Having my son was the best thing that ever happened to me. I wish for you the same amazing experience (though I hope he sleeps through the night earlier than mine did!).
My new colleague just moved halfway across the country with a 2 month old (ack!) to start a brand-new job, so at least you got a lot of the big transition stuff over with before baby.
Con’grats !!
Boy, oh boy! 🙂 I can help – have experience with boys, don’t know a thing about girls!
Kickass.
Best thing I ever did. Much joy to you!
Congrats! I will send my very best wishes and blessings to you and your new son.
I too, am the sort of woman who likes to experience life changes in clusters. Personally, I believe it’s not a bad way to live, because any anxiety you may feel is lumped into one pile and gotten over with, rather than spread out across a number of small decisions over time.
I have no clue what your old home in Wyoming was like, but Iowa City is actually a very good place to be pregnant (lots of excellent community support here).
FYIâ€â€Target has lots of cute maternity clothes.
